October 19, 2025 – The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) revealed that Israeli occupation authorities have seized 70.147 dunams of land through a military and security seizure order issued for the villages of Qaryut, Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, and Al-Sawiya in the Nablus governorate. The land is intended for the establishment of a buffer zone around the settlement of Eli.
According to the military order numbered T/136/25, the order remains in effect until December 31, 2027, starting from the date of its signing. However, the accompanying documents indicate that the objection period is limited to one week from the date of issuance. The order itself is dated September 21, 2025, which means that the Israeli authorities published the order only after the objection period had already expired.
In terms of spatial data, the total area covered by the order amounts to 70 dunams and 147 square meters, of which 15.778 dunams were already classified as “state land” and have now been allocated for the purposes of the military order. The remaining 54.368 dunams were seized under the new order.
According to data from the CWRC, since the beginning of 2025, Israel has issued a total of 53 military seizure orders for various military purposes, reflecting a significant intensification in the use of such orders under the pretext of “security needs” to expand control over Palestinian land.
