December 12, 2024: Today, the occupying state seized 54.79 dunams of citizens' lands in the villages of Qatanna and Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem. The CWRC estimates that the seizure under the name of state lands aims to expand the "Har Adar" settlement built on citizens' lands in the area.
The seized lands are located behind the annexation and expansion wall built on the lands of the two villages, and thus the occupying state has prevented citizens from accessing these lands for more than 20 years in preparation for seizing them for settlement favor.
The Commission estimates that the year 2024 was the most severe and dangerous for Palestinian geography due to the systematic and intensive expropriation operations launched by the occupying state through a series of military orders, land confiscations, and the fattening of settlements at record in unprecedented numbers.
The Commission affirms that, in this step, the occupying state continues to violate all laws and legislation that criminalize colonial settlement and the behavior of the occupying state, in addition to continuing, along with all legal partners, its battle and diligent follow-up in order to thwart the occupation’s plans to control Palestinian land.
