Israel Issues 6 Tenders to Expand “Ariel” and “Ma’ale Adumim” Settlements aiming to build new 4000 units

The Israeli occupation authorities have issued six new construction tenders to expand the “Ariel” settlement in Salfit Governorate and “Ma’ale Adumim” settlement in Jerusalem Governorate.

Three of these tenders are designated for expanding the new neighborhood known as “Ariel West,” aiming to build 730 new settlement units.

The other three tenders target the expansion of “Ma’ale Adumim,” the largest of which is tender No. 320/2025, involving the construction of 2,902 new settlement units.

According to the Colonisation and Wall Resistance Commission, (CWRC) the plans for “Ma’ale Adumim” were approved in July 2025, while the plans for “Ariel” were approved in May 2025. This raises questions about the unusually rapid issuance of tenders following approval, indicating a race against time to impose new settlement facts on the ground.

The attached map shows that the location designated for “Ariel West” is more than two kilometers away from the original “Ariel” colonial site, suggesting that the occupation intends to establish a new colonial settlement without officially announcing it.
