The occupation army issued an order to seize, for military and security purposes, an area of approximately 18 dunams of citizens' lands in the villages of Burin, Madama and Asira al-Qibliya in the Nablus Governorate.
Upon reviewing the military order and the attached maps, it became clear that the occupation authorities aim through this order to establish and set up a buffer zone around the Yitzhar settlement, which, in addition to confiscating the section specified by the military order of 18 dunams, prevents citizens from reaching hundreds of dunams surrounding the settlement from all directions.
Data from CWRC indicate that with this order, the total number of buffer zones established by the occupation state since October 7th until now has reached 11 buffer zones surrounding the West Bank settlements.
