The head of the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC), Mu’ayyad Shaa’ban, declared that the Israeli occupying state has carried out 1872 attacks during January 2026. Mr. Sha’ban pointed out in the monthly report of the Commission, “Violations of the Israeli Occupation State & Colonizers in the Occupied Palestinian Territories”, that the Israeli occupation forces carried out 1404 attacks, while the colonizers carried out 468 attacks. These violations were concentrated in Hebron Governorate, which witnessed 415 attacks, followed by Ramallah & al Bireh Governorate, which was subjected to 374 attacks, and Nablus Governorate, where 328 attacks were recorded. Meanwhile, 201 attacks were recorded in Jerusalem.

He noted that these assaults included armed attacks on Palestinian villages, imposing facts on the ground, field executions, vandalism, land bulldozing, uprooting trees, seizure of property, and the establishment of closures and barriers that restrict the connections within Palestinian territories.

Mr. Shaa’ban explained that the attacks took various forms, including direct physical violence, uprooting trees, burning fields, preventing farmers from accessing their land, seizing property, and demolishing homes and agricultural facilities. He also noted that these attacks are accompanied by the occupying forces closing off large areas of Palestinian land under the pretext of "security." Simultaneously, they provide protection and support for colonizers to expand within these areas.

Forced displacement of Bedouin communities due to colonial terrorism

Mr. Shaa’ban stated that there were 468 colonizers attacks, marking one of the highest peaks of colonizers’ violence targeting Palestinian villages and Bedouin communities. These attacks were primarily concentrated in Hebron governorate, which witnessed 124 attacks, followed by Nablus governorate, where 123 attacks were recorded, and Ramallah with 80 attacks.

He also mentioned that these attacks resulted in the displacement of 125 Palestinian families from three Bedouin communities. The largest of these communities, Shalal al-Auja, was completely displaced due to a series of assaults by armed colonizers, which constitutes a serious crime that can be classified as state-sponsored terrorism. Additionally, four families near Birzeit and one family close to the village of Atara, north of Ramallah, were also forced to leave their homes.

Mr. Shaa’ban further noted that the colonizers committed 349 acts of vandalism and theft against Palestinian property, affecting extensive areas of land. Under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, these attacks led to the uprooting, vandalism, and poisoning of 1245 olive trees. The distribution of the damage was as follows: 750 trees in Hebron, 245 trees in Ramallah & al Bireh governorate, 250 trees in Nablus. In addition, the Israeli occupation destroyed 151,000 tobacco seedlings belonging to citizens in Jenin Governorate.

Mr. Shaa’ban emphasized that these facts reaffirm that what is happening is not a series of isolated attacks, but rather a systematic policy of forced displacement carried out through colonial terrorism and under the direct protection of the occupying power. This policy aims to empty the land of its inhabitants and dismantle the Palestinian presence in Bedouin communities.

He added that the expulsion of families and the destruction of property, land, and trees represent a compounded crime against humanity and the land. This is an integral part of a gradual, de facto annexation project managed through intensified terrorism, which has persisted despite the clear nature of the crimes and continuous condemnation from the international community.

Attempts to Establish 9 New Colonial Outposts:

Mr. Shaa’ban added that the colonizers have attempted to establish 9 new colonial outposts, most of which were agricultural. These outposts were planned to be located in various areas. The plan involved establishing 2 colonial outposts in the governorates of Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah and Nablus for each, and 1 outpost in Jerusalem. Mr. Shaa’ban emphasized that the recent increase in attempts to establish colonial outposts can only occur with explicit instructions from the political leaders of the Israeli occupying state. This aims to impose new facts on the ground and further fragment Palestinian territories. The colonizers actively work to bring about changes in the area, after which the official authorities take steps to legitimize these changes through legislation, transforming them into established colonial outposts that enjoy full services.

Seizure of 744 Dunums of Citizens’ Lands

Mr. Sha’ban added that in January 2026, the Israeli occupation authorities also seized 744 dunums of Palestinian land through a series of military seizure orders, including confiscation orders and state land declarations. He explained that two confiscation orders were issued for military purposes in Ramallah, Nablus, and Jenin governorates, resulting in the seizure of 50 dunams to construct a colonial road west of Ramallah and to expand another security road in Nablus and Jenin governorates.

Additionally, he noted that the Israeli authorities seized 694 dunams of land in the governorates of Qalqilia and Salfit to establish a new colony called "Dorot," under the pretext of declaring it state land.

Mr. Shaa’ban strongly asserted that these announcements emerge at a crucial political moment, during which legislation, master plans, and confiscation decisions conspire with colonial tenders. This dangerous integration creates a unified system aimed at establishing irreversible realities on the ground, consistent with the narrative of occupation. The intention is evident: to transform the occupation from a temporary situation into a permanent regime of coercive sovereignty.

Demolition of 126 Facilities and Notifications to Demolish 40 more

Mr. Sha'ban pointed out that during January 2026, the Israeli occupation authorities carried out 59 demolitions, targeting 126 facilities, including 77 inhabited homes, 6 uninhabited homes, 37 agricultural facilities, 4 sources of income, and others. The demolished facilities distributed as follows:  45 facilities in Jerusalem, 21facilities in Hebron, 10 facilities in Ramallah & al Bireh governorate and 8 facilities in Bethlehem.

Mr. Sha'ban also revealed that the Israeli occupation authorities issued 40 demolition notifications for Palestinian facilities, as part of the ongoing campaign to restrict Palestinian construction and the natural growth of villages and towns, an effort that has recently intensified through widespread demolition operations. The notifications were mainly concentrated in Hebron Governorate which received 10 notifications, followed by the governorates of Jerusalem and Qalqilia where 7 notifications were recorded in each. Meanwhile, there were 5 notifications in Bethlehem and Nablus for each, and 1 notification in Jenin.

Proposing 21 Master Plans for colonial expansion:

Mr. Shaa’ban reported that in January 2026, the planning authorities in the Israeli occupying state proposed 21 master plans for colonies, which included 12 plans in the colonies of the West Bank and 9 plans within the boundaries of the municipality in Jerusalem. He noted that these authorities approved 3 master plans for colonies in the Jerusalem and deposited5 additional plans, intending to establish 1463 new colonial units, of which 820 units were approved for construction, and 643 units were deposited for subsequent approval, on an area of 2,632 dunams of citizens’ land.

An analysis of the maps attached to the master plans revealed the Israeli occupation authorities' approval for a new industrial zone covering 788 dunams of Palestinian-owned land in Tulkarm Governorate. This land specifically belongs to the villages of Ras, Shufa, and Far'un. The new colony and industrial zone, named "Bustani Hefetz" by the occupation authorities, poses a significant threat as it represents further colonial expansion, adding to the existing "Avnei Hefetz" colny to the east, extending to the 1967 borders. This further fragments Palestinian territory, blurring the lines of the existing colony to benefit colonial expansion.
