Ramallah, April 9, 2025: The head of the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission, Minister Mu’ayyad Sha’ban, stated that Israeli occupation forces and colonizers carried out 1604 assaults during the past month of March, continuing the ongoing cycle of terrorism by the occupation state against the Palestinian people, their lands, and properties.
In the commission’s monthly report titled "Occupation Violations and Colonial Expansion Measures," Mr Sha’ban explained that the occupation army was responsible for 1349 assaults, while colonizers carried out 255 assaults. The majority of these assaults were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron with 332 assaults, Nablus with 272 assaults, and Ramallah with 269 assaults.
He noted that the assaults ranged from armed assaults on Palestinian villages to imposing facts on the ground, field executions, destruction, land levelling, uprooting trees, seizing properties, and imposing closures and checkpoints that sever the ties of Palestinian geography.
A Continuous Wave of Colonizer Terrorism
Mr. Sha'ban stated that colonizer assaults were most concentrated in the Hebron governorate, with 71 assaults, followed by Nablus with 42 assaults, Ramallah with 31, and Salfit with 28 assaults.
He added that colonizers carried out 224 acts of vandalism and theft targeting Palestinian properties, affecting vast areas of land. Additionally, these attacks led to the uprooting of 1354 trees, including 1354 olive trees, distributed as follows: Nablus 925 trees, Salfit 309 trees, and Hebron 120 trees.
Attempt to Establish 6 New Colonial Outposts
Mr. Sha'ban stated that colonizers have attempted to establish 6 new colonial outposts since early March, most of which have been agricultural and pastoral. These outposts were distributed as follows: Three outposts in the Nablus governorate, one outpost in each of Jericho, Ramallah, and Tubas. Mr. Sha'ban also emphasized that the intensifying efforts to establish colonial outposts in recent times serve the purpose of fragmenting Palestinian geography and imposing facts on the ground. The colonizer take on the task of creating changes on the ground, after which the official authorities step in to legitimize and cement these changes, transforming them into colonial sites that receive full services.
Occupation Seizes 4 Dunums of Palestinian Land
Mr. Sha'ban stated that in March, the occupation authorities seized a total of 4 dunums of Palestinian land through two land seizure orders aimed at establishing a tower and a military post on lands in the Qalqilya and Salfit governorates. The first order targeted the Qalqilya governorate, specifically the village of Azzun, while the second order targeted land in the village of Haris in the Salfit governorate.
Demolition of 87 Facilities and Notification to Demolish 46 Others
Mr. Sha'ban pointed out that during March, the occupation authorities carried out 58 demolitions, destroying a total of 87 facilities, including 39 inhabited homes, 6 uninhabited homes, 26 agricultural facilities, and others. The demolitions were concentrated in the following governorates: Nablus with 15 facilities, Tulkarm with 13 facilities, Jerusalem with 19 facilities, and Salfit with 15 facilities. Mr. Sha'ban also revealed that the occupation authorities issued 46 demolition notifications for Palestinian facilities, as part of the ongoing campaign to restrict Palestinian construction and the natural growth of villages and towns—an effort that has recently intensified through widespread demolition operations. The notifications were mainly concentrated in Tulkarm Governorate with 20 notificationa, followed by Jenin with 8, Bethlehem with 6, and Hebron with another 6.
Study of 45 Master Plans in West Bank and Jerusalem Colonies
Mr. Sha’ban stated that in March, the planning authorities of the occupation state reviewed 45 master plans in favor of colonies in the West Bank and Jerusalem (both within and beyond municipal boundaries). Of these, 16 master plans were approved, while 19 others were deposited. The March plans targeted a total of 3,280 dunums of citizens’ land.
He added that the maps attached to the submitted master plans indicate the occupation state's intention to expand the “Etz Efraim” colony, which is established on the lands of the villages of Mas-ha in the Salfit Governorate and Sanniriya in the Qalqilya Governorate. This expansion would be carried out through the deposition of a master plan aimed at creating a new neighborhood for the settlement, intended for the construction of 192 new colonial housing units on an area of 32 dunums, under master plan number יוש/ 1/ 6/ 126.
