Ramallah, March 19, 2024: The head of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC), Minister Moayya Sha’ban, stated that the martyrdom of the young man Fakher Bani Jaber from the village of Aqraba, south of Nablus, this afternoon at the hands of terrorist colonizers, confirms that the colonizers’ militias defy international sanctions and the unprecedented international position condemning the terrorism of the occupation state. Sha’ban added that the colonizers’ militias want to deliver a message to our people and to the world that despite the international position and the sanctions, they will continue to implement the plans of the occupying state aimed at implementing forced displacement plans, expelling the population, and controlling the land.
Sha’ban explained that, since the beginning of last year, the levels and turning points of the colonizers’ attacks had formed a dangerous curve, causing the martyrdom of 23 Palestinian citizens at the hands of colonizers. This unprecedented number demonstrates the extent of the powers and facilities granted by the occupation state, especially since the leaders of the terrorist militias in the occupation state have reached the helm of power. Thus the settler-colonial government would seek to impose more measures and commit more crimes.
Sha’ban added that the series of forced displacement at the hands of the colonizers, which reached its peak with the displacement of more than 22 Bedouin communities under the guise of the terrible aggression against Sha’ban, is continuing until now, stressing that the colonizers have begun a new round of restrictions targetting the residents of the Jordan Valley, particularly the Al-Sukhun community, which is one of the communities that remain behind the colonial line east of Nablus, targeted by deprivation of grazing and water, not to mention the exorbitant fines that the Colonial Council has come to impose on Palestinian shepherds, amounting to hundreds of thousands of shekels in exchange for the release of sheep and livestock, in one of the ugliest manifestations of neo-colonialism these days, which is designed to constrict and displace the indigenous population.
Sha’ban warned that the colonizers are planning to escalate the attacks against the Palestinians, especially in the areas targeted by the occupation state with colonial plans in Masafer Yatta, the northern Jordan Valley, and the central West Bank, considering that the colonizers are exchanging roles with the official institution that publicly disavows militia terrorism, but sponsors its own terrorism with privileges, financial allocations, and announced legislation.
Sha’ban called on the countries of the world to impose more sanctions that extend beyond the borders of individuals and small entities, despite their importance, but rather work to sever economic partnerships and commercial and academic agreements with the entire occupation state as it is the sponsor of terrorism, crime and genocide.
Sha’ban explained that the resilience of our people and their great struggle is the guarantee that will break the force of the occupation and the terror of its colonizers, and it is also the guarantee that will thwart all of its plans, just as the director of the long years of occupation thwarted all plans aimed at displacing it, subjugating it, and undermining its capabilities.
