Ramallah 3rd of May, 2023- The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) stated that the Israeli occupation state and its colonizers carried out a total of 442 violations against Palestinians. These violations varied between the direct assault on Palestinian citizens, vandalism, land-leveling, uprooting of trees, property confiscation, closures, checkpoint installations, and causing physical injuries.
The Commission stated in its monthly report entitled “The Israeli Occupation Violations and Colonial Expansion Procedures” for April that these violations were concentrated in the Nablus governorate with 67 violations, followed by the Bethlehem governorate with 60 violations, and the Salfit governorate with 59 violations.
The commission also noted that colonizers committed 138 violations and attempted to establish a new colonial outpost in the As-Sakut area of the Jordan Valley. The majority of these colonizers’ attacks were concentrated in the Bethlehem governorate with 36 attacks, followed by the Nablus governorate with 26 attacks.
Sha’ban said that during April, the Israeli occupation authorities issued 117 notices to demolish, halt construction, and evacuate Palestinian facilities. These notifications ranged from notifications to demolish, to halt construction under the pretext of non-licensing, or to evict under the pretext of training. Most of these notifications were concentrated in the governorates of Salfit with 42 notices, and Hebron and Ramallah with 21 notifications each.
Sha’ban pointed out that in April, the Israeli occupation forces the demolitions carried out three demolitions, targeting 11 houses, commercial establishments, and sources of livelihood in the governorates of Tulkarm, Jerusalem, and Hebron.
Sha’ban pointed out that the report documents a total of 2,220 trees being damaged and uprooted by colonizers, with the majority being olive trees. These violations were concentrated in the Bethlehem governorate, where 1,705 trees were uprooted, and in the Nablus governorate, where 385 trees were uprooted.
Sha’ban said that in April, the occupation authorities issued three seizure orders for military purposes, which stipulated the confiscation of 53 dunums of citizens' lands in the Qalqilyah and Ramallah governorates. The first seizure order targeted a total of 52 dunums of land in Qalqilyah Governorate, while the second order targeted 300 meters of the lands of the village of Azzun, east of Qalqilyah. The third order involved the confiscation of 20 dunums to expand a military post on the private lands of the Ni’lin Village, west of Ramallah.
