On Tuesday, 20/6/2023, there was a dangerous escalation in the colonizers ‘attacks which were carried out under the protection of the Israeli occupation army. These attacks affected the Palestinian citizens and their property, specifically in the contact areas, which are the areas where colonizes, protected by the Israeli army, and are constantly present in streets and crossroads. These colonial attacks resulted in the martyrdom of two young men, Muhannad Faleh Abdullah Shehadeh, and Khaled Mustafa Abdel Latif Sabah, both from the village of Urif, south of Nablus. Shehadeh (26 years old) was fatally shot by a colonizers on Ramallah-Nablus road, near the village of Al-Laban Al-Sharqiya, and the Israeli occupation authorities withheld his corpse. Later, Sabah (24 years old) was shot dead by a special unit of the Israeli occupation army, north of Tubas.
Moreover, 34 citizens were injured, and 140 vehicles were damaged, including an ambulance and a vehicle belonging to a citizen from Huwara. The civil defense crews were able to put out the fire of two vehicles and a guard room inside a gas station in the eastern village of Laban, as a result of the colonizers ‘attacks.
The colonizers attacked the villages and towns of Turmusa’ya, Beit Furik, Awarta, Huwara, Al-Laban Al-Sharqiya and Al-Gharbia, Al-Sawiya, Za'tara, Yasouf, Deir Sharaf and Al-Nasaria.
A 12-year-old child was also injured as a result of being run over by a colonizer while he was returning to his family’s house on his bicycle, near the entrance to Al-Laban Al-Sharqiya village, south of Nablus. The colonizer assaulted him after he fell to the ground and hit him with a pistol on his head. He sustained severe wounds in the face and head, and scratches all over his body.
In the same context, a group of colonizers attacked a child near “Salman Al-Farisi” roundabout in Huwara, and 3 other citizens were injured as a result of their falling after being chased by the colonizers, and two houses were evacuated as a result of the settlers' attack on the town.
These areas are considered a fertile environment for colonizers attacks, specifically those close to the contact areas with the occupation army, who provides protection to the colonizers. On Tuesday, 6/20/2023, many assault cases including killing, direct physical assault, attempts to run over Palestinian citizens, intimidate citizens, and sitting fire to land and property were documented.
The most prominent details of the incidents and attacks perpetrated by the colonizers in Nablus and Ramallah governorates on Tuesday 6/20/2023 were as follows:
- The martyrdom of the two young men, Muhannad Faleh Abdullah Shehadeh, and Khaled Mustafa Abdel Latif Sabah, both from the village of Urif, south of Nablus. - Dozens of citizens suffocated, and a vehicle was set on fire, during the colonizers’ attack, which was carried out under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, in the town of Huwara, south of Nablus.
- A child was sent to Rafidia Hospital as a result of the colonizers' attack on him near “Salman Al-Farisi” roundabout in Huwara. Three other citizens were injured as a result of their falling after being chased by the colonizers, and two houses were evacuated. Meanwhile an ambulance was attacked at the Huwara military checkpoint, south of Nablus.
- The colonizers attacked citizens' houses in Huwara, firing live ammunition at the young men who confronted them, and burned a citizen's vehicle.
- The colonizers attacked citizens' vehicles in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, as a group of colonizers gathered in several areas in the governorate, namely: Ain Ayoub near the village of Ras Karkar to the west, the town of Al-Taybeh and the entrance to the village of Kafr Malik to the east, and the entrance to the town of Turmusa’ya to the north. They attacked citizens’ vehicles with stones. No injuries or material damage were reported.
- A child was injured as a result of being run over by a colonizer while he was returning to his family’s house on his bicycle, near the entrance to Al-Laban Al-Sharqiya village, south of Nablus. - A group of colonizers gathered at the entrance to Kafr Al-Dik town, west of Salfit, closed its entrance and prevented citizens' vehicles from passing.
- Under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, the colonizers attacked citizens' houses near the entrance to the village of Al-Laban Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, and set fire to dozens of agricultural dunums. The citizens confronted with the colonizers, the thing which led to clashes with the occupation forces, who fired bullets and poison gas bombs at the citizens, wounding a young man with rubber-coated metal bullets in the foot, and he was sent to the hospital.
- The colonizers closed the road between the cities of Qalqilia and Nablus. Dozens of colonizers gathered on the main road between Qalqilia and Nablus at the junction of Kafr Laqif village, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army.
- Dozens of colonizers attacked citizens' vehicles with stones, after they gathered near the entrance to Yasouf village, east of Salfit. They attacked the vehicle of the citizen Suhaib Walid Abdel Hafez Samara from the town of Bruqin while he was returning to his home with his family and children, and they were sent to the Martyr Yasser Arafat Hospital. Meanwhile, the citizen Najm Abdullah Abdo was also injured in the eye, and the vehicles of the citizen Suhail Samih Abdel Hamid Abdel Fattah and Abdul Hamid Jabr Hammouda were damaged. A group of colonizers also attacked the citizens' vehicles and broke the windows of a number of them, while the citizens were passing near the eastern entrance of the village.
- The colonizers attacked the villages of Beitin and Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, and damaged the windows of a number of vehicles, citizens' homes, and shops. They also threw stones at the vehicles on the bypass road above the town of Deir Dibwan, which damaged the vehicle's windows. The Israeli occupation forces also stormed the main entrance to the town of Deir Dibwan to prevent the residents from confronting the colonizers, and fired poison gas bombs at the citizens and nearby houses.
- The colonizers set fire a number of citizens' vehicles and attacked shops in the village of Al-Laban Al-Gharbi, northwest of Ramallah.
- The colonizers attacked citizens' houses in the town of Kafr al-Dik, west of Salfit, closed roads in front of the citizens, and broke the windows of Yazid Darwish's house.
