September 25, 2024: Today, Wednesday, settlers set up tents on citizens' lands in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah.
The settlers, in conjunction with the ongoing bulldozing operations for more than a month and the systematic seizure of lands in "Jabal al-Ras", set up tents today in the area, noting that the villagers have documents proving their ownership of the land.
A few days ago, settlers, under the protection of the occupation army, began bulldozing about 450 dunams of land in the villages of Umm Safa and Aroura, northwest of Ramallah, and blocked the road extending between the villages of Deir al-Sudan, Aroura and Umm Safa, and prevented citizens from passing, in a systematic seizure mechanism implemented by the occupation state these days targeting the northwestern section of the Ramallah Governorate, in order to cut off communication between the villages of the area and the governorates of the northern West Bank in favor of a large colonial project being prepared to be implemented in the area.
It is worth noting that the head of CWRC, Minister Mu’ayyad Shaaban, the legal staff and cadres of the CWRC and team from the Central Directorate, organized a visit to the village yesterday to review and discuss the legal defense procedures for the land with the villagers.
