Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC): The Israeli Occupation Government confiscate 1,300 dunums of Palestinian lands for the benefit of the colonies.
Ramallah: This morning, the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) issued a press statement regarding the latest developments of the colonial expansion in the Palestinian territory. The statement sheds light on the occupational measures perpetrated by the Civil Administration as it grants planning and use permissions for lands that were previously declared as “State Lands”. The Head of the CWRC, Mo’ayad Shaa’ban, said: "This occupational measure aims to seize the land and to prevent the Palestinians from utilizing these lands". He added, "The Israeli Occupation Authorities” later decided to designate the lands that were declared as “State Lands” for the service of the colonial project purposes.
The Commission pointed out that the “Israeli Occupation Authorities”, over the past few weeks, has granted through the so called “Civil Administration” three planning permissions on an area of 1,300 dunums of Palestinians’ lands which were previously declared as “State Lands”, usually for preparation of legalizing the colonial outposts that were illegally established on Palestinian lands in several governorates or expanding the so called colonial jurisdiction area
The Commission also stated that in this morning, a planning permission was granted on land that was declared as “State Land” in 1984, with an area of more than 360 dunums, on the lands of the villages of Bidya and Kafr al-Dik in Salfit governorate. Through this, the Israeli Occupation Authorities seek to legalize the colonial outpost called "Tal Shehret" in the area there. Thus, during the last week, the Israeli government granted permission to plan on lands declared as “State Lands” since 2014, with an area of more than 320 dunums located on the lands of Bethlehem governorate in the villages of Al-Khader, Nahalin and Artas for the benefit of the so called “Daniel”, “Eliezer” and “Ifrat” colonies.
In addition, during the last month, the Israeli Authorities have granted their planning permission for an area of 616 dunums of the villages of Qaryut, Al-Lebban, and Al-Sawiya in the Nablus governorate, usually for the preparation of expanding the influence area/jurisdiction area of the so called "Eli" colony, which is located on the lands of the citizens there. Thus, this planning permission allows for expanding the borders of this colony.
The (CWRC) confirmed that all these colonial measures prove the Israeli government’s intention to continue its colonial project in order to confiscate more Palestinian land, and that everything perpetrated by the Israeli government under legal and administrative claims is only a prelude to annexing these lands in favor of the colonial project.
