The Israeli occupation plans to build a new residential neighborhood on the lands of citizens in Salfit

The head of CWRC, Muayyad Shaaban, revealed that the Israeli occupation authorities had deposited a new master plan to build a new colonial neighborhood that will be added to Rafava colony, which is built on the lands of the citizens in Salfit Governorate, specifically on the lands of the villages of Haris and Deir Istiya. Plan No. 170/5, according to which more than 399 new colonial units will be built on an area of 259 dunums in the area between Al-Shaftan and Al-Tairat in the lands of Deir Istiya village and Al-Bureij site in the lands of Haris village was deposited for subsequent approval.

Shaaban said that the occupation is depositing this type of plans that the colonial arms of the occupying state approve and implement at any time or in any upcoming session. Pointing out that the Israeli occupation authorities targeted Salfit governorate specifically with many colonial plans that aim to build, expand and legitimize a group of colonial blocs and outposts in the region, warning of the danger of what is happening these days and the frantic campaign that targets the lands and properties of Palestinian citizens in all places of Palestinian state.

Shaaban added that in the past few days, a set of master plans were deposited for study and discussion, and consequently for subsequent approval, targeting the citizens' lands in Al-Khader in Bethlehem governorate, and aiming to build a group of residential apartments that represent expansion operations within Efrat colony, built on the citizens' lands in Bethlehem governorate.
