The occupation authorities, represented by the Civil Administration, began the pre-demolition procedures for Tahaddi (5) (Jib Al-Dhib) Mixed Elementary School in the Za’tara wilderness in the Bethlehem governorate, by issuing a new decision requiring Palestinian citizens to stop using the building, which is used as a school, in preparation for its demolition in accordance with the unjust decision. Which was issued on May 17, 2017, which stipulates the cessation of construction and the cessation of use of the building, and the occupation authorities claim this time that the building poses a danger to students and that it is liable to collapse at any moment, but in fact, both the Civil Administration and the occupation court prove that they obeyed the orders of the Colonial  Regavim Foundation, which is headed by the terrorist extremist Smotrich, who cooperates with the Civil Administration in the issue of blockading Palestinian construction in the West Bank, and they always seek to empty the Palestinian lands of their original inhabitants.

It is noteworthy that, shortly after the demolition order that was issued in 2017, the staff of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission and the Popular Resistance activists hurried over the course of a whole night to build the building, which was later called the School of Resilience and Challenge (5), so that the children of the area who suffer from the occupation’s forced displacement measures could join the education. The CWRC, along with other human rights organizations, is following this file in order to protect Palestinian construction and protect the 40 Palestinian students from the danger of being deprived of education. The head of the CWRC, Moayad Shaaban, said that the commission, with clear instructions from President Mahmoud Abbas, will carry out immediate construction in the event that the occupation undertakes the demolition process, and that we will not allow our children to be placed in the open, and we will face the occupation demolition with immediate construction.
