Ramallah, December 4, 2024: The Head of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Minister Mo’ayyad Sha’ban, stated that the Israeli occupation forces and colonizers carried out 1396 assaults last November, in a continuation of the series of terrorism perpetrated by the occupation state against the Palestinian people, their lands, and property.
Mr. Sha’ban explained in the commission’s monthly report, “The Israeli Occupation Violations and Colonial Expansion Measures” that the occupation army carried out 1086 assaults, while the colonizers carried out 310 assaults. Most of these assaults were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah with 273 assaults, Hebron with 253 assaults, and Nablus with 204 assaults.
He pointed out that these assaults ranged from armed attacks on Palestinian villages to imposing facts on the ground, carrying out field executions, sabotage, leveling lands, uprooting of trees, seizure of property, and closures and checkpoints that sever the ties of Palestinian geography.
A Dangerous Ongoing Wave of Terrorism by the Colonizers’ Militia
Mr. Sha’ban pointed out that the colonizers' assaults, which reached 310, were concentrated in the Ramallah Governorate, with 77 assaults, the Hebron Governorate, with 73 assaults, the Nablus Governorate, with 63 assaults, and the Salfit Governorate, with 34 assaults.
Mr. Sha’ban pointed out that colonizers have attempted to establish 8 new colonial outposts, mostly pastoral in the governorates of Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, and Jericho.
Mr. Sha’ban also explained that the colonizers’ assaults during the current olive-picking season, which started last October, have continued to escalate, targeting Palestinians across all Palestinian land. This shows a clear intent by the occupation state, which has unleashed armed colonizers’ militia to force citizens to give up on completing the olive picking season.
He added that colonizer assaults also resulted in the uprooting, damaging, sabotaging, poisoning, and burning of 1806 trees, including 1762 olive trees, through 42 assaults. These assaults were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus and Ramallah, with 10 assaults, followed by the governorates of Hebron and Bethlehem with 7 assaults.
The Seizure of 177 Dunums of Citizens’ Lands
Mr. Sha’ban stated that the occupation authorities seized 177 dunums of citizens’ lands last November in Salfit and Nablus through two military orders. The first order was an expropriation order targeting 166 dunums in the Salfit Governorate, while the second order declared 10 dunums in the Village of Burin in the Nablus Governorate state land.
Demolition of 52 Facilities and Notification to Demolish 23 Others
Mr. Sha’ban noted that during November, the occupation authorities carried out 52 demolition operations affecting 63 facilities, including 27 inhabited homes, 2 uninhabited homes, and 17 agricultural and other types of facilities. The majority of these demolitions were concentrated in Jerusalem, with 26 facilities demolished, followed by the governorate of Hebron, with 10 facilities demolished, and Nablus, with 7 facilities demolished. Moreover, Mr. Sha’ban indicated that the occupation authorities issued 23 notifications for the demolition of Palestinian facilities, primarily concentrated in Qalqilya Governorate with 10 notifications, followed by Nablus Governorate with 8 notifications.
The Occupation Authorities Study 5 New Plans
Mr. Sha’ban indicated that the occupation authorities studied five master plans (deposited and approved) in November to expand colonies in the West Bank and Jerusalem. The plans targeting the West Bank aimed to build 311 colonial units on approximately 69 dunums of citizens' land, while the plans within the boundaries of Jerusalem aimed to construct 800 colonial units on about 12 dunums of citizens' lands.
