Wednesday, May 17, 2023: In the framework of the cooperation of "Al-Ard" and the CWRC, the Minister of the Comission Mu'ayed Shaaban received the businessman Bashar Masri, to discuss the joint working mechanisms between CWRC and "Al-Ard" Foundation, which deals with the expansion of settler assaults in the West Bank.
Shaaban reviewed the efforts spent to deal with settlement encroachment, and the challenges imposed in light of the fierce attack faced by the settlement-threatened areas in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
For his part, Shaaban said that the colonial reality and the recent increase in unprecedented attacks; It is necessary to unite all possible efforts and work in an integrative way to stand by our people in the areas that are exposed to settler colonization.
Masri said, "Settlement is the cancer and the greatest danger, and efforts must be intensified to stop it, and the "Al-Ard" initiative since its establishment has believed in the importance of joint action between all the parties that are active in fending off this encroachment and expanding it by uniting energies with all the actors in this field." He confirmed that this cooperation will serve to exchange experiences and expertise to prevent settlement and employ all possibilities through the "A'Ard" initiative and its volunteers, to contribute to stabilizing and empowering the owners of the land to withstand.
